Groups in the NSTA Communities

We use the plural in referring to the NSTA Communities because we're actually talking about many smaller communities gathered in one place. These smaller units are called "groups," and each has its own organizing principle (subject matter, locality, pegagogic issue, etc.). It is in the groups that you will find shared resources and discussion forums.

Join one group, join a few, join many—it's up to you. You can come and go as time permits, and you can control how often the system alerts you to new content.

If you have a special interest and don't find a Communities group for it, you can create one yourself! We encourage you to exploit this powerful networking tool to the fullest.

Introductory Webinar: “Getting Started—Inside the NSTA Communities”

If, after visiting NSTA Communities, you're unsure how to complete your profile, join or create groups, share files, etc., we have just the thing for you. Howard Wahlberg, NSTA's membership director, and Mark Sylvester, CEO of introNetworks, conducted a webinar on how to effectively use the Communities website. It lasted about 40 minutes and covered a lot of territory.
