Distinguish Yourself
NSTA Awards. Compete for awards from 17 programs, ranging from kindergarten to college.
Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision® Awards. This team-based K–12 competition awards up to $240,000 in savings bonds annually.
Toyota TAPESTRY Grants for Science Teachers. Share in $550,000 in grants available in 2009. Fifty large grants of up to $10,000 each and 20–25 mini-grants of $2,500 will be awarded.
THE DUPONT CHALLENGE© Science Essay Competition. This competition for grades 7–12 students promotes scientific literacy and inspires them to excel. Winners receive cash prizes and an expenses-paid trip to The Walt Disney World® Resort and the Kennedy Space Center.
NSTA’s Center for Science Education

Conference Transcripts
Conference attendees can now simultaneously evaluate sessions and track conference attendance for professional development certification. Click here for complete information.
Graduate Credit
Framingham State College will offer one graduate-level credit in professional development to teachers attending the 2008 Charlotte Area Conference. To obtain credit, you must complete a Framingham State College Registration Form, attend a minimum of 12 hours of programs, submit a written report, and pay a fee of $79. Services for People with Disabilities
NSTA makes an effort to provide convenience and accessibility for all persons attending our conferences. We strive to make conferences barrier free, but we can do so only with your help in advance. If you require special assistance at the Charlotte conference, please check the appropriate box when you register and describe the situation.

We will contact you personally and discuss how your needs can be met. We also provide other special services at the conference, including sign language interpretation at the General Session. We may have special materials for the conference sent to you by overnight/priority delivery before the meeting.
Note: If you need special arrangements in your hotel room, please check the appropriate box on the Housing Request Form and contact your hotel directly once you receive your hotel confirmation.
