Racing Toward Science Excellence

We invite you to join us in Charlotte—the Queen City for Racing Toward Science Excellence! Not only the heart of NASCAR country, Charlotte and the surrounding Carolinas also provide science educators with numerous field experiences, cultural attractions, and science-rich learning opportunities, such as Discovery Place, a preeminent science education center; the Settlemyre Planetarium, a totally digital full-dome planetarium at the Museum of York County; and the Latta Plantation, now the largest nature preserve in the nation. You can also get a taste of the history, art, and science of the Carolinas from the many museums located within blocks of the Charlotte Convention Center.

Conference strands will focus on Engineering: Promoting the "E" in STEM; Merging Literacy into Science Instruction; and Accelerating the Skills of Digital Learners. The Charlotte Conference Committee has been working hard to provide educators with a variety of featured presentations, workshops, and field trip experiences that will motivate participants to continue to grow professionally in the pursuit of quality STEM education.

Interacting with science educators, learning new instructional strategies, and exploring resources will help invigorate your lifelong learning and teaching. We hope you will join us in lovely Charlotte for an exceptional learning experience that is sure to rev you up for continued science excellence.
