Karen Ansberry and Emily Morgan

Karen Ansberry and Emily Morgan are the authors of the award-winning Picture-Perfect Science series from NSTA Press. Karen is a former 5th and 6th grade teacher and science curriculum leader for Mason City Schools in Mason, Ohio. She has a bachelor's degree in biology from Xavier University and received a master's degree in teaching from Miami University. Emily is a former 7th grade science teacher for Northridge Local Schools in Dayton, Ohio, and former elementary science lab teacher for Mason City Schools in Mason, Ohio. She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Wright State University and received a master's degree in education from the University of Dayton.

Julie V. McGough

Julie McGough has taught for over 20 years, working with students from preschool through fifth grade. She currently teaches at Valley Oak Elementary in Fresno, California. She has also worked as an adjunct faculty member and a master teacher preparing new teacher candidates for California State University, Fresno. Her teaching has been recognized with the Crystal Award in her district, and she is a California state finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching. Ms. McGough's academic background includes a BS in education and an MEd in gifted education. She is currently pursuing a PhD in science education. Ms. McGough works as a leader in professional development and worked on the curriculum design team for her school district. She served on the NSTA Preschool and Elementary committee and has published in the NSTA journal Science and Children.

Lisa Nyberg

Lisa Nyberg has taught for over thirty years as an educator of students ranging from preschool to graduate school. Her teaching has been recognized by a number of awards including: the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching and the National Science Foundation Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics and Science. Her work has been featured on The Disney Channel Salutes the American Teacher, PBS SCIENCELINE, and PBS Learning Science Through Inquiry. She co-authored NSTA Press books: The Power of Questioning, The Power of Investigating, and The Power of Assessing.
