Let the Teacher Tutors of Science show you how you and your students can do real forensic science. Like CSI, you’ll use scientific methods to help “police” solve the mystery that’s happening in your own school. Using common, easily obtained materials, these highly motivational, hands-on activities involve fingerprinting, chromatography, hair identification and even DNA. This series of investigations is suitable for elementary and middle school students, and even teachers that know very little science will feel comfortable with the activities. You’ll leave this workshop with handouts and all the information necessary to bring forensic science into your own classroom.
