NSTA Tweetchat

Would you like to participate in NSTA's tweetchat, but you aren't familiar with Twitter or how to use hashtags (#)? Below are few steps to follow which will have you "tweeting" in no time!

5–10 minutes before the tweetchat begins:

  1. Log in to Twitter at www.twitter.com. If you do not have an account, click the "Sign-Up" button in the top-right corner and create a profile.

  2. Once logged in, open a new window in your browser and visit www.tweetchat.com. (You will use the TweetChat application to actually view and participate in the chat.)
  • Click the "Sign In" button.

  • On the next screen, enter your Twitter username and password. Select "Authorize app" (this grants TweetChat access to your Twitter account).

  1. Once logged in to TweetChat, enter #nstachat in the field at the top-center of the screen and click "Go »".
  2. Tweets using the hashtag will appear in reverse order in the next window.

  3. To enter a tweet, enter your comment in the "Message to #nstachat" field and click Update.
  4. Click Tweetchat retweet icon to retweet a poster's tweet or Tweetchat reply icon to reply to a tweet.
