NSTA Student Chapters
To provide additional support for NSTA student members, NSTA has developed over 100 student chapters. NSTA and the student chapters are separate but interdependent organizations that have elected to ally themselves to encourage professional development and networking of preservice teachers of science from across the United States and Canada. Student chapter participation offers opportunities for increased leadership skills, career growth, and networking for students and faculty. Most importantly, first-year NSTA Student Members of their chapter receive one year of electronic NSTA membership for free! To form a student chapter at your local college or university, simply download the NSTA Student Chapter Procedures Guide (PDF), e-mail the NSTA Chapter Relations Department, or check out our free archived virtual "how to" workshop.
