Homeostasis

You're wired. That's right, wired. But you won't find copper or fiber optics under your skin. In your body, billions of cells communicate in two ways: Electrical messages through nerves and chemical messages called hormones. Communication maintains a balance in your internal environment. We call this balance homeostasis.
