Journals Offer Back Issues

1/22/2013 - NSTA Reports—Lynn Petrinjak

It was dog-eared and creased, but you kept it nearby for easy reference. You don’t know exactly when or how, but it disappeared one day. Did a helpful student mistakenly put it in the classroom recycling bin? Did a colleague borrow it and forget to return it? Who knows, but the result is the same: Your treasured NSTA journal is gone.

In response to members’ requests, NSTA is making it easier to request back copies of your favorite journal issues. While journal articles dating back more than a decade are available electronically through the Science Store, you can also request back issues of the NSTA print journals.

Requests will be fulfilled on a case-by-case, first-come, first-served basis. Availability is limited. Single copies are available to members at no cost. Larger quantities will incur shipping charges. Back issues in print are available only to readers within the United States. E-mail requests—including the name of the journal, the issue date, your name, and the shipping address—to backissues@nsta.org.
