Deerfield HS Teacher Wins Science Education Award

Lisa Backus, a science teacher at Deerfield High School, has received the Delta Education/Frey-Neo/CPO Science Education Award for inquiry-based science teaching at the high school level. Each year the National Science Teachers Association acknowledges kindergarten through twelfth-grade teachers, professors, principals and other educators for their success and contemporary programs in science education. The award Backus received specifically honors three prekindergarten through twelfth-grade teachers.
