Notice to our readers

We regret to inform our loyal readership that the National Science Teachers Association will cease publication of Quantum after the July/August 2001 issue. NSTA is proud of its 12-year history of producing the magazine and is grateful to its colleagues in Russia and the U.S. for their dedication and hard work. As a high-quality, low-circulation "niche" publication, Quantum has struggled against the bottom line for most of its existence. After years of trying to put Quantum on a secure financial footing, NSTA made the difficult decision to shut down the magazine and shares the pain of its devoted readers.

We hope to work with other groups to bring Quantum back as a web-only resource, free to all—but we cannot predict the likelihood of success in developing financial support for this endeavor. Please continue to check the Quantum website for updates.

Quantum sets

Individual copies of Quantum are no longer available for purchase, but complete sets (66 issues) occasionally come up for sale at eBay. A search using the keywords quantum nsta will usually work.
