The four books in the Journey Through Space series cover the Moon, planets, stars, and Sun. Each of the sturdy volumes is packed with text and colorful illustrations so they make very useful classroom tools to support reading and content. A strong first grade reader will learn directly from the book, and other students will benefit from hearing and discussing the facts presented.
Simple concepts are highlighted in a graphic format which separates them from the regular text to make them easy for the reader to focus on and grasp. The books are colorful and bright, and the outstanding photographs and illustrations are inspiring.
Students will navigate these bright, informative pages and learn so much about the universe. A list of related websites and a glossary complete each book. Simple activities are described that are designed to help build an understanding of topics such as how planets move in space, where the Sun goes at night, how to find the Big Dipper constellation, and how the Moon reflects light. Here is a delightful series of informative books on space ready for teachers and students to explore.
