They live only on four or five Indonesian islands where the climate is hot and dry. Stunning photographs and simple text present fascinating facts about the Komodo dragons, including details about their appearance, habitat, behavior, and life cycle.

Like other books in the series, glossary words are explained on pages where they first are mentioned. Further reading and web sites are also provided. Readers can also check out the websites for additional photos and educational videos. Reading this book is an exciting way to learn more about these amazing, large lizards.
