Do institutional members get the same discounts?
Yes, but you need to order by phone—call 1-800-277-5300 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
On NSTA Press books, yes—but you need to order by phone (1-800-277-5300 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET) or fax (1-888-433-0526). You have to purchase multiple copies of the same title to get the bulk discount—see the following table for rates.

I teach a course and am considering an NSTA Press book as a student text. Do you offer exam or desk copies for prior review?
Absolutely. We would be pleased to send you any NSTA Press title as a free e-version for your review. Plan ahead, though—the link to the book expires in just 30 days.
To submit a request, please e-mail us at pubsales@nsta.org--including each of the following items:
- Book title
- ISBN or Stock #
- Course name
- Projected enrollment
- Start date
- Your name and title
- Institutional e-mail address
- Office or home telephone number, whichever is more convenient for you
After review, please let us know whether you ultimately select one or more of our titles for your course. When ordering, be sure to keep in mind the bulk discounts that may apply. (See above.)
My school or district licenses e-books from other publishers—do you offer e-licenses?
Yes, NSTA now licenses its e-book titles so that you and your colleagues can share content within your school
or even across an entire district. Depending on the size of your group, annual license fees can be as
little as 10-30% of the cost of buying multiple copies of the e-books outright. Licensing is currently
available for several popular series, including the following:

How will I know that my order has been filled?
We send you a confirmation e-mail. If you don't get one, e-mail us at nstaorders@pbd.com or call 1-800-277-5300 between 8 and 6 ET.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit card (AmEx, Discover, MC, Visa) or check—or send us a purchase order, and we'll bill your school or district.
How can I track my order?
E-mail us at nstaorders@pbd.com, providing your confirmation and invoice numbers or your shipping address.
How do I return an item?
You may return any publication in saleable condition within 30 days of receipt.
NSTA will refund the purchase price in full for items over $10. Orders under $10 will receive account credit. To return an item, indicate the reason for the return, include the packing slip or invoice, and wrap the package securely.
You are responsible for paying the shipping and handling on the invoice and for shipping the package back to NSTA; we refund or credit the purchase price only. Certain sale items are nonreturnable.
All returns must be sent to the address below. Returns sent to any other address will have a rerouting fee applied.

What happens if an item is out of stock?
You will not be charged for the item until we can fulfill that part of your order. The rest of your order will be shipped immediately, and you will receive the remaining item(s) as promptly as possible. If in doubt, e-mail us at pubsales@nsta.org or call 1-800-277-5300 between 8 and 6 ET.
What if I can't find a catalog item in the online Science Store?
We're constantly refreshing our product list—some older items just go out of print; others are replaced by newer, better versions. But feel free to e-mail us at pubsales@nsta.org to find out for sure.
Is every item in the online Science Store also in your catalog?
Not every item—visit www.nsta.org/store for the complete product array.

What are my shipping options?
Regular delivery orders are sent via UPS (Note: UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. box) and take 7–12 days at most. Expedited shipping is sent two-day mail and is charged an additional 20% of the entire order (25% for all non-U.S. orders). Minimum of $15 extra charge for all rush orders. See the table below for regular shipping rates.

Yes, but—due to high international shipping charges—it is usually much more economical for you to (a) select e-book versions of our titles or (b) order print books from our designated resellers abroad.
