The authors set up an interdisciplinary unit between history, psychology and biology that got students talking and learning. The article presents an outline of how they coordinated the lessons and what both the professors and students learned from the experience. It is a shame that they didn't provide information on how they would expand the experience to additional experiences throughout the year, from doing these types of units in secondary school, I have also seen the independent learning students are inspired to do, and also realize that it takes a while to develop more than one - but the first is always the most challenging and exciting! This should be read by any college or secondary instructor considering an interdisciplinary unit for ideas on how connections can be made.

More and more we are hearing about cross disciplinary curriculum models. Here you will learn more about the effectiveness of this approach that integrates biology, psychology and history. Still, more detail on implementation would be helpful. How does one achieve administrative support? How are scheduling issues handled? Sample lesson plans and schedules would be especially helpful.
