This article describes a lesson where students create a media presentation using HyperStudio. HyperStudio fuses different applications together integrating applications such as iLife®, podcast, webpage creation and blogging. This simple lesson will be a great introduction activity for HyperStudio. However, other media authoring, such as Movie Maker, could easily be substituted. The lesson task students with creating a documentary about a type of machine, such as the wedge. They create their presentation based off detailed expectations and rubric provided in the article.

Students in an elementary school classroom learn to make a six slide multimedia presentation about force and motion that defines, uses web images, text, movie segments and questions they answer about the topic in a fourth grade class. This provides students an opportunity to learn on their own. A rubric is provided as well. This is a good example of how to introduce science with technology for young children.
