The Rice University for Center for Technology in Teaching and Learning has a website called ‘MedMyst’ which provides medical mysteries online. This article describes what is available at this awesome website. These can be used online either at school or at home and one can request this with a CD. The article summaries four medical mysteries and the reader gets a tour of one of the mysteries to help them become familiar with what is available. Now there are seven mysteries and games with lots to offer for anyone who likes a challenge and a mystery to solve. Great website.

The article introduces an interactive video game to teach students about diseases and how they are transferred. Since it was written in 2007 I checked to be sure it was still active and it is both still active and still being updated! I ran though one of the lessons and not only does the article do a good job of describing it - the lesson is even better! I would recommend this for health or science classes from 7-12 (or even college courses for non - biology majors) studying diseases - well put together. I had only one complaint - the other characters keep congratulating you for paying attention or staying a awake and they seem to be a bit sarcastic - other than that, it is very informative and interesting!
