Natural Resources: Summer Camp for Teachers

We can’t all have easy access to nature, so if we want students to appreciate the outdoors, we must seek out nature experiences. But what if you feel intimidated by the outdoors yourself? Whether you are an outdoor aficionado seeking more knowledge or are nature-phobic, looking to increase your comfort level outdoors, there are professional development opportunities available to help. Some programs offer grants or other financial assistance and include college credit, some involve authentic research alongside scientists, and some just make a fantastic vacation. The author included a little of each in this list.
