This is an article about a group of students who went to a summer science institute. This was a camp where the students tested the soil. The article also told you that you could get an inexpensive kit from a garden shop or a hardware store to test your soil. The students learned about the ecosystems, soil, and plants. The students and the teachers had the opportunity to learn about problem-based learning. The teachers and the students tried out a new pedagogy. At the end of the summer institute the teachers had information that they could use to create a curriculum to be used in the classroom to enrich the students learning.
