I really liked this article and found it to be really important because of all the English Language Learners I have in my classroom. I thought the idea of a nature walk to help students learn English and teach science was a great idea. Students can connect their what they know to what they are being taught, they can say we call this flower one thing in Spanish and this is the English word. The article gave many great idea such as creating a language chart putting all the words they learned under a letter in the alphabet. In addition, students can be in pair so that they can practice their english and the new vocabulary with a friend. I thought the article was simple and not overly complicated to understand and gave great ideas I definitely want to use in the classroom!
