This article presents three activities that make students more aware of the amount of drinkable water on this Earth. The first is much like an activity from “Project Wet” that demonstrates what portion of all the water on Earth is potable. The second demonstrates what ‘potable water means, and the last activity demonstrates how difficult it might be to make non-potable water into potable water. Using all three activities one learns that there is much less drinkable water on this earth than students understand.

This article had a few activities that seemed very interesting and fun to do. The concept is try to teach students that water is not as abundant as you may think. This article is very helpful if you are trying to teach your students about the lack of water or unclean water. The activities do seem a little boring so a twist to them would probably help but maybe since it's geared to middle school it's not needed.
