To motivate students to complete their homework, this teacher used the concept to the TV show called ‘Survivor’ to create teams. After a homework assignment was turned in teams competed for a Survivor Challenge which was a worksheet based on the assignment turned in. Members of the team that didn’t do their homework were voted off of the team. The rules of the game are provided in the article. As stated in this article, when the newness of this game wore off, doing homework reduced slightly. This could be a great motivator if interest in rewards can be maintained.

The author of this article used the students' interest in the show "Survivor" to create a program to help students get their homework done on time. They had teams similar to the TV show and kept scores about getting homework done. This method did improve homework completed, but I wonder about all the paperwork the teacher had to do.
