This is an excellent article that outlines a system to help students solve algebraic problems in science. The author explains the step by step method, provides examples of how the system works, and includes a assessment rubric. This is an excellent system to help students with struggle with math solve problems in science.

Oh My Goodness! I already have my students do Exactly these processes and grade it the Same Way, but I never thought to add the kinetic component or the acronym - I am adding that right away! They have a worksheet to look at (which they lose or it falls out of their notebook) but this is So much better because I have yet to see any of them lose their hands :) I am very excited (as you can see) to improve what is already a great problem solving aid to make it a better one. Thank you for your great idea and your willingness to share!
