Although, well written, this article became very frustrating when trying to access the website needed to get the lessons for the activity described. Having tried from two different computers, I was disappointed when I could not get to the site listed. I agree with the author that Social Studies and Science are often able to partner together to give students a deeper understanding of content, but I also do not think many schools would have the freedom to use five weeks to develop this concept.
