This is an excellent article about Earth’s cryosphere. The article also identifies one of the NGS scientific and engineering practices standards for this lesson as it explains a couple of different activities that engage students in meteorological investigations. Students will especially enjoy the Glacier Goo activity. The URLs mentioned under the Resources are useful, too, if on is looking for some good information about this topic. I loved the Online Data Portal at the Cresis website.
