Great Help for ESOL Class

This article gives a very practical and inventive way to teach science vocabulary. The method also involves several learning modes which addresses many different student needs. Words are made up of prefixes, roots and suffixes in various combinations. By dividing the words into parts and learning the meaning of each part students learn the vocabulary. In this article students divide an index card into four parts and analyze the word by parts, define it and illustrate it. Many words parts are repeated in our vocabulary such as "bi" which means two. Knowing this helps students figure out new words they encounter that start with "bi".
