As educators incorporate additional performance tasks into instruction, they are faced with the challenge of evaluating student achievement related to those tasks. The key to evaluation is developing student- and teacher-friendly scoring rubrics. A well-defined rubric alleviates student anxiety concerning the teacher’s expectations and helps reduce questions about the task.
