This short article is describes the need to change the definition of hypothesis as ‘an educated guess’ for students in younger grades. As the author points out, by the time the student is really learning about the application of hypothesis in an investigation it is not longer just a guess. The author has revised the statement to describe a hypothesis as a ‘testable’ statement. This is a great idea.
