A School Garden fits nicely within the guiding principles for sustainable schooling. As the sustainability coordinator at St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School, this column author's most fulfilling, inclusive, well-received, and challenging project was transforming a courtyard into a sustainable vegetable garden and native plant area. In this month's column, she explains the benefits of school gardens and provides tips for creating one at your school.
