This was one of the first articles I've read--new to NSTA. I had not heard of water pearls and agree with the author that they're wonderful to work with. I would have liked the article to address the specifics a bit more--these are slow to use and I would have liked to know specifically how she used them in lessons.

I also wish the author had included more basic activities rather than the more complex ones. I like the thought of using these as an investigation into osmosis and volume v surface area. I purchase the hydrogels over the summer. I am now developing a lab.
