Simulations in the classroom really engage students. As stated in the article “To effectively integrate simulations into your own teaching, you will need to develop (or find) lessons that provide a structure for students to build and test explanatory models for the phenomena represented by the simulation.” This article introduces the read to the PhET website which has many simulations. It also presents the results of a study which compared student’s concept attainment for those who used simulations to those who didn’t. If you are not a believer reading this article will sway you.
