When I first started reading this article I was thinking about using it with a middle school grade level, but as it continued I realized that it was more effective for a physics class. This article is very timely as I am working on completing a unit plan for collisions for my physics class and wanted to make it real for them. The author presents a crash test activity where students apply the concepts of momentum, inertia, and potential and kinetic energy. The activity is then used as a launch to a discussion of crashes and safety equipment.
