Move over SIRI you are not alone. There is also Google’s Voice Search. Both these smart phone tools helps people find information a lot faster than typing into Google. For the clumsy person who had difficulty typing or the person who has trouble spelling this kind of service speeds up the process. So what can be done in a noisy lab room? There are ear bud devices that use ear buds with microphones. Having taught in a multilingual situation, my question is how does this process overcome a lack of a good understanding of the English language?
