The lack of research studies that examine the use of technology as a tool to support the learning of science among the learning disabled is an important limitation of research in science teaching. This chapter focuses on the use of computer technology and has three objectives: (1) to summarize technology and science education research of the last decade as it relates to the learning disabled, (2) to identify potential computer technology tools that can be best used to support the learning of science by the learning disabled, and (3) to provide some recommendations for postsecondary science educators.
