by: John Eichinger

In this activity, younger students encounter, discuss, and apply the basic characteristics of magnets and magnetism as they explore and elaborate on their experiences. Student groups implement some of the terminology and concepts appropriate to the study of magnets as they investigate and measure how far magnets can repel one another and how many paper clips their magnets can attract.
