Teaching science has unique challenges and opportunities for the co-teaching team. Science can be taught with a hands-on approach that encourages students to explore concepts and ideas through interaction. Science lessons can also use simulations or computer programs for instructional activities while providing the opportunity for students to work together. This chapter is intended to provide a general overview of instructional methods and assessment procedures that can be used in an inclusive classroom.
