This book chapter from Rise and Shine contains excellent advice for a successful first week of school. This chapter not only provides advice, but also offers excellent real life scenarios to demonstrate how to put the advice into practice. This is an excellent chapter for all teachers to read prior to the first week of a new school year. I'm looking forward to putting several of these ideas into practice as the new year begins! |

Solid advice for the starting teacher.... |

Written with the Ms. Mentor columns, The First Week of School gives solid, professional advice to starting teachers. There are questions that are highlighted and then a conversational style answer follows. The questions are the types of questions every new teacher has.
I would even suggest this as a review for the more experienced teacher. Sometimes we forget what we used to know. |
