What Is a Brief History of Life?

by: Rodger W. Bybee and John Feldman

Most students have problems with the scale of geologic and evolutionary time. This lesson helps students understand the scale of geologic time and the evolution of life. Students try to figure out something within their understanding that equals one million. They are then asked to complete a scale model of geologic time. After the EVO DVD outlines the evolution of life, students return to the model of geologic time and insert events in the evolution of life.

The DVD EVO: Ten Questions Everyone Should Ask About Evolution is also available for purchase.
