This book was an excellent find when gathering resources toward my lesson plan focusing on the different ways in which animals adapt to their environment. This book truly explains how many different kinds of animals are affected by different environments, and what they have to do to adapt or accommodate to these conditions. This e-book helped us with our lesson plan significantly as we had to compare different environments of animals and how they use their senses to adjust toward their own survival. This book was a great source that we could expand in our lesson which focused primarily on animals using their senses in a possible unknown environment. I was able to collect new kinds of information throughout this text regarding how animals can be impacted by their surroundings. It was great to find an e-book that had a plethora of specific information in which we could incorporate into our science lesson. Overall, this was an excellent find and I would definitely recommend this e-book to another elementary school teacher whom is looking to incorporate this kind of a source into their lesson.

I think that this book was a great addition to our lesson plan about animal adaptions because it really shows in a child friendly way how animals are impacted by the surroundings around them. In our lesson plan, we worked on showing students how different animals are impacted by different types of environment, we worked on showing how the survival of the fittest is impacts animals in many different types of ways. This book helped us with our lesson plan because, it showed how dark colored moths lived before an environment was changed vs after it was changed. The book goes through this process with many different types of animals, which is awesome, we just used the one that worked best for us! After reading this ebook we were able to find a fiction book that taught the same things, but in a story format. The book was called, "The Great Kapok Tree: A Tale of the Amazon Rainforest." Overall, I think that this book had a lot of helpful information that really helped us, as pre service teachers, write a lesson plan about animal adaptions, with the information from this book, we were able to write a lesson that made us reach our students in a creative way. I would recommend this book to any pre service or elementary teacher, it was so helpful!
