Looking for a book full of information, activities, and support for teachers concerning Project WET? With nearly 600 pages to preview, I randomly examined units in the book. Project WET is comprehensive, with sound pedagogy and thoughtful activities.

A warm–up is used to determine student's prior knowledge about a topic, then in–depth investigations, scenarios, and readings supplement the content presented. While my random journey seemed to indicate more emphasis on upper elementary and middle school, there are topics suitable for younger students. I particularly liked the in–depth approach to investigating a topic. Literature is used to further explore the content, and background support for teachers is a much appreciated addition to the book!

Several of the topics include a way for teachers and students to take positive, proactive actions in their own community, thus forming partnerships with various groups. This book is easy to follow with specific directions on how to make connections and the relevancy of the topic to individual interests. I recommend this book!
