This chapter focuses on finding the magnetic field. In the Biot-Savart law, the magnetic field is perpendicular to both the current element and the radiusvector. The magnetic field points out of the plane determined by the current element and the point. In this chapter, a scenario is presented applying the Biot-Savart law to find the magnetic field generated by a thin, straight wire carrying a constant current.
