The main goal of NASA's Perseverance Rover mission is to seek for signs of ancient life on Mars and collect samples of rock and regolith for possible return to Earth. The Rover is expected to land on the surface of the Red Planet on Thursday, February 18.
In this NSTA Science Update, Eric Aguilar from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory will share information about the Perseverance's overall mission and his role as Assistant Delivery Manager for the Sample Caching System. Aguilar will also discuss and answer questions about what to expect during the landing sequence of the spacecraft on Mars. Learn more about the mission.
