This paper reports evaluative data on five courses that have taken part in a curriculum reform effort called the Arizona Collaborative for Excellence in the Preparation of Teachers. Primarily through summer faculty workshops, teaching reforms advocated by the American Association for the Advancement of Science have been incorporated into a variety of undergraduate science and mathematics courses. Results reveal that those teaching reforms lead to substantial improvements in student achievement.
