Teaching Through Trade Books: Star Light, Star Bright

This column includes activities inspired by children’s literature. This issue discusses how younger students can learn about patterns through constellations, which have set times at which they appear in the night sky. As students get older, they can consider starlight and begin to understand the size and distance of stars from Earth.
