Technology advances have moved from 2D to 3D and that has included printing. This article talks about the potential in the classroom and now there is actually a book of activities that utilize the 3D printer in a STEM classroom. Reading this article is interesting though. For those of us old enough to remember the ‘replicator’ in space travel videos, the idea that even the printer parts can be reproduced to make another printer. As the author points out, the possibilities are limitless with a curious mind.
