The idea of adding this game into the classroom to be able to help students understand how climate change can affect populations of organisms is a fantastic idea! The game is planned out in a way that it is not overly difficult for the teacher to facilitate as well as not having a large cost. When looking at this material it is apparent that it will challenge students to think in a perspective that they typically may not. Additionally, this game allows the students to see the many challenges of conducting scientific research and being able to get the data, and make a conclusion based on that data. This game idea is applicable to real life while being simplistic enough for both the teacher and the students. Finally, this is a game that could easily be modified to make it easier for the students as well as having the ability to have an extension for students who need more of a challenge. I hope to be able to use this game in my classroom!

This game is a great way to get the students thinking about the science concept of distribution, but also connects a lot of really good real-life examples. The students are playing a game, which makes it more fun for them, but they are limited by money, which is a very real thing that scientists have to deal with. They also have to make decisions as far as how much to sample and where to sample, which could cause problems because they are trying to see the whole picture but are limited to only a fraction. Then they can all come back at the end and see how their way of sampling gave different results than another group's, which shows just how different results of studies can be. This is a great activity to do in a classroom.
