Writing the Script

by: Donna Governor and Denise Webb

This chapter is an overview of some of the basic ideas that need to be addressed to start planning your event and the decisions you will need to make early in the process. Probably one of the biggest considerations you will want to make is the format of your event. Two different formats—the session model and the flow model—are discussed in this chapter. Other ideas to consider that are discussed here are using themes, timing, and a timeline. To help with planning, a timeline is provided that you can use as a guide to move from inception to production. References, safety notes, standards, and teacher background information are provided. This book selection also includes the Table of Contents, Preface, Acknowledgments, About the Authors, Introduction, Appendixes, and Index.
