This session brings together all that students have learned to provide them with concrete actions they can take to make a difference in their own lives and communities. The session begins with students calculating their own carbon footprint and comparing it to that of the average person. Once they have an idea of how much CO2 they generate in a year, students come up with changes they can make at home and calculate the amount of CO2 saved. The session culminates with students planning actions they can take in their communities and teachers may work with students to create a school sustainability club or other organization to implement their plans and work toward a brighter future for all.
