Water Drops as Art

edited by: William C. Ritz and William Straits

This activity is for dropping water on a semi-absorbent surface to see what happens. Children can work in pairs with one dropping colored water from an eyedropper into a box, and the other one tilting the box to see what happens to the water. When finished, ask the children to look at the various boxes and compare and describe the results. Some may look like beautiful paintings! A materials list, internet resources, standards, and safety practices are provided. This book selection also includes the Table of Contents, Preface, About the Editors, Introduction, Simple Graphing for Young Children, Science Teaching Boards and Boxes, Basic Materials List, and Index.
