by: Melissa Rooney and Deborah L. Hanuscin
edited by: Robert E. Yager

The author's purpose in sharing her experiences in this monograph is to help other teachers who may be less confident in teaching science than they are teaching other subjects, to help them see the value in what the Standards envision for students, and to find ways to make changes in their own teaching. In this chapter, the author describes the unit created for use in the classroom and how features selected for More Emphasis in the Standards are reflected in the unit.
